Recruiting

Basketball is classed as a "head count" sport which means that the athletic scholarships that are offered are "FULL RIDE". There are 329 division 1 and 290 division 2 colleges that offer men's basketball scholarships. There are also 328 division 1 colleges and 291 division 2 colleges that offer women's scholarships.

This means that there are a total of 7,177 men's basketball scholarships available in the NCAA alone. For women's basketball there are a total of 9,285 in the NCAA

The process of finding and contacting coaches and dealing with the rules and regulations enforced by the NCAA and NAIA is quite a daunting process for both athletes and parents. The use of our basketball recruiting service is a must for all athletes who are serious about playing basketball at college level.

Many fine young players are overlooked each year because they didn't submit their basketball profile to the "right" colleges or left out vital information. Unless you are a blue chip player don't expect the coaches to start knocking on your door, you have to make it happen. You won’t get a basketball scholarship unless you market yourself. It's also a fact that many colleges simply don't allocate all of their basketball recruiting funds because "suitable" athletes didn't approach them.

The NCAA allows each Division 1 Men's Basketball program 13 Scholarships and in Division 2, 10 are available. For Women's basketball 15 Scholarships are offered in Division 1 and 10 in Division 2.
